THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE ALBUMS FOR "THE BEATLES' STORY" CONTAIN RECORDS THAT HAVE SIDES ONE
AND FOUR ON ONE DISC, AND SIDES TWO AND THREE ON THE OTHER. THIS CONFIGURATION
(1/4/2/3 PAIRINGS) WAS DONE TO ACCOMMODATE PURCHASERS WHO HAD TURNTABLES WITH
SPINDLE POLES AND A BALANCING ARM THAT ALLOWED FOR THE STACKING AND CONTINUOUS
PLAY OF SEVERAL RECORDS IN A ROW.YET, A SMALL NUMBER OF THE EAST AND WEST COAST RECORDS PRODUCED BY RCA
RECORDS, HAVE THE RARER FIRST PRESSING
WHERE SIDES ONE AND TWO IS ON ONE DISC, AND SIDES THREE AND FOUR ON THE OTHER
(CAP 2222.MR1A(ii), SPIZER).
SINCE THIS CONFIGURATION (1/2/3/4 PAIRINGS) WERE MANUFACTURED BY THE SUBCONTRACTOR
RCA RECORDS,
THEY WERE PRESSED IN LESSER QUANTITIES AND ARE MUCH SCARCER AND VALUABLE THAN THE
STANDARD 1/4/2/3 PAIRING RECORDS.
THE COVER IS A BEAUTIFUL CLEAN, WHITE AND SOLID NEAR MINT MINUS, WITH SOME SMALL
CORNER TIP WEAR ON THE BACK COVER MOUTH OPENING. THE RECORDS
ARE A TREMENDOUS AND GLISTENING NEAR MINT, PERHAPS PLAYED ONCE THEN STORED. THE
LABELS ARE SO GLOSSY AND GORGEOUS AS WELL.
