DESCRIPTION (ACTUAL IMAGES) JUST ACQUIRED FROM THE PERSONAL COLLECTION OF PERRY COX, PROMINENT BEATLES U.S. RECORDS EXPERT AND AUTHOR OF "THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE" SERIES OF BOOKS. PRESENTED HERE IS THE RAREST U.S. PRESSING OF THE LANDMARK RELEASE OF "SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND. THIS STEREO ISSUE IS THE JACKSONVILLE, INDIANA PRESSING THAT HAS THE RARE JACKSONVILLE IN-HOUSE THICK PRINT VERY FIRST LABEL WITH THE INCORRECT TITLE OF "A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS" (CAP2653.SR1D, SPIZER). THE LABELS WERE CORRECTED LATER TO CORRECTLY READ '"WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS". THE RECORD IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM, STELLAR AND MAJESTIC. THE VINYL AND LABELS ARE A SPECTACULAR MINT "AS NEW" UNPLAYED. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. THE COVER, WHICH REMAINS SECURELY AND TIGHTLY IN THE ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINKWRAP, IS THE VERY FIRST ISSUE PRINTED COVER WITHOUT THE "© NEMS ENTERPRISES LTD., 1967" COPYRIGHT CLAIM ON THE BACK COVER (CAP 2653.SC1, SPIZER). THERE ARE NO HOLES OR RIPS IN THE SHRINK, AND THE COVER ITSELF IS IN MINT MINUS CONDITION, DISPLAYING BOLD, VIVID COLORS. ALL SEAMS ARE FIRM AND SOLID, ALL FOUR CORNERS ARE SHARP. THERE IS AN ORIGINAL "POLK BROS." DEPARTMENT STORE "5.98" PRICE STICKER STILL ADHERED TO THE SHRINK IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THE FRONT COVER. POLK BROS. WAS A CHICAGO, ILLINOIS BASED DEPARTMENT STORE THROUGHOUT THE 1960'S. THIS SET IS COMPLETE THAT INCLUDES THE CUSTOM "SGT. PEPPER'S: CUT-OUT SHEET INSERT AND THE RED NUANCE "WAVY" INNER DUST SLEEVE, BOTH IN MINT CONDITION. WE AGREE WITH MR. COX'S assessment THAT THIS EXAMPLE IS THE most perfect copy WE HAVE ever seen anywhere at any time, AND IT REALLY SUPERSEDES any sealed copy WE HAVE SEEN.
