DESCRIPTION (ACTUAL SCANS) THE FIFTH DATE OF THE BEATLES' FINAL CONCERT TOUR TOOK PLACE IN PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, WHERE THEY PERFORMED ONE CONCERT BEFORE 21,000 PEOPLE AT JOHN F. KENNEDY STADIUM. SUPPORT ACTS FOR THE ENTIRE TOUR WERE THE REMAINS, BOBBY HEBB, THE CYRKLE AND THE RONETTES. THIS WAS THE GROUP'S SECOND VISIT TO PENNSYLVANIA, WHERE THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY PLAYED AT PHILADELPHIA'S CONVENTION HALL ON SEPTEMBER 2, 1964. THE CONCERT BEGAN AT 8PM IN THE 60,000 SEAT OPEN-AIR STADIUM, DURING WHICH AN ELECTRICAL STORM WITH NEAR CONSTANT LIGHTNING CRACKLED THROUGHOUT THE SHOW, BUT THE TORRENTIAL RAIN HELD OFF UNTIL SHORTLY AFTER THE BEATLES LEFT THE STAGE. THE BEATLES' STANDARD SET THROUGHOUT THE TOUR CONSISTED OF 11 SONGS: "ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC", "SHE'S A WOMAN", "IF I NEEDED SOMEONE", "DAY TRIPPER", "BABY'S IN BLACK", "I FEEL FINE", "YESTERDAY", "I WANNA BE YOUR MAN", "NOWHERE MAN", "PAPERBACK WRITER", AND "I'M DOWN". DURING THE TOUR THEY OCCASIONALLY SUBSTITUTED THE FINAL SONG WITH "LONG TALL SALLY". OFFERED HERE IS A STUNNING AND CRISP "LIKE NEW" NEAR MINT, FULL COMPLETE, UNUSED TICKET FROM THIS VENUE IN THE NATION'S "CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE" DURING THEIR 1966 TOUR. THE 5 1/2" X 2" FULL TICKET IS THE "WHITE" GENERAL ADMISSION $5.00 SEAT LOCATION VARIATION: SECTION WK, ROW F, SEAT 7, ENTER GATE 4 BROAD STREET. SIMILAR TO ALL NORTH AMERICAN BEATLES CONCERT TICKETS, THE IMAGES OF THE GROUP USED ON THIS TICKET DO NOT ACCURATELY DEPICT THEIR TRUE APPEARANCE IN 1966. INSTEAD, IT DISPLAYS THE QUARTET'S MORE YOUTHFUL FACES FROM 1963. THE REVERSE OF THE TICKET ADVERTISES THE 1966 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AND LISTS THE UPCOMING ATTRACTIONS AT JOHN F. KENNEDY STADIUM, INCLUDING THE BRITISH GROUP HERMAN 'S HERMITS, AND SOUPY SALES, WHO SHARED THE BILL WITH THE BEATLES ON THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW IN 1965. AFTER THE SHOW, THE BEATLES AND THEIR ENTOURAGE IMMEDIATELY BOARDED THEIR GREYHOUND TOUR BUS AND WERE TAKEN TO PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, FROM WHERE THEY FLEW TO THEIR SIXTH STOP ON THE FINAL TOUR: TORONTO, CANADA FOR JUST ONE SHOW.
