  DESCRIPTION
(ACTUAL IMAGES)

"REVOLVER" IS THE GROUNDBREAKING ALBUM FOR THE BEATLES, FULL OF NEW RECORDING TECHNIQUES, WHICH IS THE ALBUM'S MOST STRIKING FEATURE. THE UNIQUE SOUND IMAGES AND THE BRILLIANCE OF ITS SONGS TOOK THE GROUP TO A NEW HORIZON AND ON TO "SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND". "REVOLVER" IS CONSIDERED BY MANY FANS AND CRITICS TO BE THE GROUP'S FINEST. RELEASED IN THE UNITED STATES ON AUGUST 8, 1966, JUST DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE GROUP'S THIRD AND FINAL TOUR OF NORTH AMERICA.  THE ALBUM FULLY LIVED UP TO THE HIGH EXPECTATIONS.

THIS FACTORY SEALED STEREO PRESSING OF "REVOLVER" IS A TRUE BEAUTY FROM CORNER TO CORNER. THE FRONT COVER IMAGE IS BRILLIANT. BOLD AND CRISP WITH NO RINGWEAR. THE WHITES ARE BRILLIANT. THERE IS NO YELLOWING ANYWHERE ON THIS FRONT COVER. THE BACK COVER REMAINS CLEAN WITH A DEEP BLACK BACKGROUND WITH NO RING-WEAR. THE SPINE IS SOLID AND COMPLETELY LEGIBLE FROM END TO END.

THE MOST VITAL FACTOR AND WHICH RAISES THE BAR TREMENDOUSLY ON THIS MAJESTIC SEALED EXAMPLE, IS THE RARE 3" X 2" OVAL YELLOW STICKER - THAT WAS ADHERED TO THE SHRINKWRAP ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF COPIES OF THE ALBUM. THE STICKER (CAP 2576.S1, SPIZER) STATES IN BLACK PRINT "INCLUDES THE BEATLES' FABULOUS 'YELLOW SUBMARINE' & 'ELEANOR RIGBY''! ST-2576". THE CONDITION OF THIS STICKER IS A BRILLIANT NEAR MINT WITH GREAT BOLD COLORS AND NO FLAWS.

THE EVER-IMPORTANT "STEREO NEEDLE DAMAGE" INFO DISCLAIMER PRINT IS EVIDENT ON THE BACK COVER ALONG THE CENTER BOTTOM EDGE, SIGNIFYING THIS IS A TRUE FIRST PRESSING.  THE COVER HAS AN EXTREMELY TIGHT SEAL. DUE TO SUCH A TIGHT SEAL, THERE IS A TINY SHRINKWRAP TEAR ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER TIP. THERE ARE 4 FACTORY SHRINK "BREATH HOLES" EVIDENT, ONE ON THE FRONT AND TWO ON THE BACK. THE FOURTH IS ON THE EDGE OF THE MOUTH OPENING NEAR THE CENTER. THE ½" SHRINK HOLE OPENING THERE SHOWS A TOUCH OF THE CORRECT PERIOD CAPITOL RECORDS ORANGE EARLY 1966 "CAPITOL '66 SOUNDS GREAT!" INNER DUST SLEEVE.

THE ORIGINAL 1" X ¾"  ORANGE STORE PRICE STICKER REMAINS ADHERED TO THE BACK COVER SHRINK TOWARDS THE RIGHT EDGE ABOVE PAUL'S HEAD.

THERE IS NO FACTORY NUMBER DESIGNATION ON THE BACK COVER IN  LOWER RIGHT CORNER, INDICATING THAT THIS  COULD POSSIBLY BE A RARER CONTRACT PRESSING MANUFACTURED BY DECCA, RCA OR COLUMBIA RECORDS.

MOST PURCHASERS OF "REVOLVER" STICKERED ALBUMS THREW AWAY THE SHRINKWRAP WITH THE STICKER. FINDING AN ORIGINAL SEALED EXAMPLE OF THIS GREAT WORK WITH THE STICKER IS ALSO A GROUNDBREAKING ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR THE SERIOUS BEATLES COLLECTOR.
