DESCRIPTION "WITH THE BEATLES" LP ALBUM (PARLOPHONE PMC 1206), RELEASED NOVEMBER 22, 1963, ORIGINAL FIRST MONO PRESSING, AUTOGRAPHED ON THE BACK COVER BY THE BEATLES. THE SECOND BEATLES ALBUM WITH THE BEATLES, WAS RELEASED ON NOVEMBER 22, 1963, AT A TIME WHEN BEATLEMANIA WAS IN FULL FORCE ACROSS THE UNITED KINGDOM. EARLIER THAT WEEK, EMI CHAIRMAN SIR JOSEPH LOCKWOOD THREW A PARTY AT EMI HOUSE TO CELEBRATE "B" DAY IN HONOR OF THE BEATLES. HE MENTIONED THAT THE GROUP HAD "CREATED A DISC SUCCESS WITHOUT PARALLEL," SELLING OVER 3,000,000 RECORDS DURING THE YEAR. THREE WEEKS LATER, THE BEATLES HAD THE TOP TWO ALBUMS, WITH THE BEATLES AND PLEASE PLEASE ME, THE TOP TWO SINGLES, I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND AND SHE LOVES YOU, AND THE TOP THREE EPS, TWIST AND SHOUT, THE BEATLES' HITS AND THE BEATLES (NO. 1). THE GROUP HAD PLAYED OVER 200 CONCERT APPEARANCES TO PROMOTE THEIR SINGLES AND ALBUMS. THE GROUP'S GRUELING SCHEDULE MADE IT DIFFICULT TO BLOCK STUDIO TIME FOR THEIR FOLLOW-UP LP. NONETHELESS, THE BEATLES MANAGED TO RECORD THE ALBUM'S 14 SONGS IN 28 HOURS DURING A THREE-MONTH PERIOD THAT SAW THE GROUP IN THE STUDIO FOR ONLY SIX DAYS. FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES IS PROUD TO OFFER THIS MONO PRESSING OF THE BEATLES SECOND ALBUM, AUTOGRAPHED BEAUTIFULLY ON THE BACK COVER BY THE BEATLES. THE DARK, STRIKINGLY CLEAR SIGNATURES DATE CIRCA AROUND THE TIME OF THE RELEASE OF THE ALBUM. John, Paul and George have signed IN blue fountain ink, WHILE Ringo has signed in blue ballpoint pen. the signatures are superb, COMPLETE examples fROm this period - LESS THAN THREE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE GROUP'S FIRST HISTORICAL VISIT TO AMERICA and appearance on The ed sullivan show. THE OVERALL CONDITION OF THE COVER IS VG+, WITH SOME HANDLING/AGE WEAR, THE AUTOGRAPHS REMAIN IN NEAR MINT CONDITION. The album was given as a birthday
present in 1964, BY AN INDIVIDUAL WHO actually obtained the autographs AND
worked for a London based company called ‘Record Spec’. THIS EMPLOYEE had
access to The Beatles and wAS able to get the autographs. Comes with a brief
note stating this from the person WHO ORIGINALLY RECEIVED THE SIGNED ALBUM AS A
BIRTHDAY GIFT.
