ON SATURDAY AUGUST 3, 1963, AFTER CLOSE
TO 300 APPEARANCES AT THE CAVERN CLUB, SPANNING TWO AND A HALF YEARS, THIS DAY
WAS THE LAST.
THE VENUE HAD PLAYED PERHAPS THE VITAL ROLE IN PREPARING THEM FOR "THE BIG TIME"
OR AS ED SULLIVAN WOULD SAY . . . "THE REEEALLY BIG SHEW". TWO DAYS LATER, THE
BEATLES HIT THE ROAD AGAIN, AND ON MONDAY AUGUST 5th, HEADED FOR ABBOTSFIELD
PARK, CHASSEN ROAD, URMSTON, LANCASHIRE. The urmston show was an interesting
engagement: the beatles headed a four-act bill playing at this annual south
manchester "bank holiday" event, and IS where this beautiful blue autograph
album page was signed.
measuring 4½" X 3¾", THESE AUTOGRAPHS ARE JUST STUNNING IN PERSON AND STAND OUT
WITH GORGEOUS BRILLIANCE. ALL FOUR BEATLES HAVE SIGNED IN MATCHING BLUE
BALLPOINT. NOTABLE HIGHLIGHT IS " THE BEATLES " WRITTEN BY GEORGE ABOVE
HIS SIGNATURE AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.
ADDITIONALLY, A MOST FANTASTIC ADDITION TO THIS SET OF AUTOGRAPHS FEATURES TWO
NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN ON THIS DAY AT THE URMSTON SHOW. THEY WERE
SNAPPED BY THE INDIVIDUAL WHO ACQUIRED THESE SIGNATURES. NOTICE THE MOST
PRIMITIVE STAGE SET-UP, AND THE YOUNG BEATLE FANS EAGER AND BURSTING WITH
ENERGY.
TAKE NOTE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT HISTORICAL FACTOR OF THE BEATLES EVIDENT IN
THESE TWO PHOTOS. LOOK AT THEIR WARDROBE AND APPEARANCE: THE BLACK TURTLENECKS,
THE FRESH HAIRCUTS. THIS LOOK WILL COME IN HANDY, FOR ON AUGUST 22ND IN THE TOWN
OF BOURNEMOUTH, in THEIR HOTEL ROOM AT THE PALACE COURT, PHOTOGRAPHER ROBERT
FREEMAN TOOK THE INFAMOUS "HALF-SHADOW" PHOTO FOR the cover of THEIR SECOND UK
PARLOPHONE ALBUM "WITH THE BEATLES", and used again in january 1964 for
capitol's "meet the beatles" album cover in america.
to keep with the theme of THIS STRIKING
AUTOGRAPH SET, it HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY FRAMED IN A CLASSY BLACK WOOD
FEATURING THE INFAMOUS COVER PHOTO, TAKEN BY ROBERT FREEMAN ON AUGUST 22, 1963
FOR THE LP "WITH THE BEATLES". it's MATTED IN A DEEP, RICH "INDIGO" BLUE, with
OVERALL DIMENSIONS of 20" X 16½" . PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INTEGRITY OF THE ENTIRE
SIGNED PAGE HAS BEEN RESPECTED AND IS FULLY EXPOSED WITHOUT the MATTe CUTTING
OFF THE EDGES. transparent photograph corner holders ARE UTILIZED to holdthe
signed PAGE in place (see final image below).
ACCOMPANIED BY
LIFETIME LETTERS OF AUTHENTICITY FROM FRANK CAIAZZO AND FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES.
