DESCRIPTION (ACTUAL IMAGES) EMI EXPORTED ITS RECORDS TO COUNTRIES AND TERRITORIES THAT HAD LIMITED MANUFACTURING CAPACITY. IN ADDITION, THE COMPANY SENT DISCS TO BRITISH AND AMERICAN MILITARY BASES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AND A FEW OTHER OUTLETS. DURING 1965 AND 1966, EMI MANUFACTURED THREE OF THE UNIQUE AMERICAN CAPITOL RECORDS ALBUMS FOR SALE AT U.S. BASES. THESE ALBUMS WERE SOLD AT THE PX, A MILITARY POST STORE WHERE GOODS ARE SOLD TO SERVICEMAN AT REDUCED PRICES. THESE ALBUMS WERE NOT OFFERED FOR SALE FOR BEATLES FANS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AT ALL. THE THREE CAPITOL TITLES CHOSEN TO BE ISSUED WERE "SOMETHING NEW" (ISSUED BY EMI IN JULY 1965), "THE BEATLES' SECOND ALBUM" (LATE 1965), AND FINALLY "BEATLES VI" (EARLY 1966). THESE THREE EXPORT ALBUMS WERE PRODUCED IN LIMITED NUMBERS, issued only in stereo, THEREFORE MAKING THEM QUITE RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO ACQUIRE, ESPECIALLY IN RESPECTABLE NEAR MINT CONDITION. THE COVERS TO THESE ALBUMS WERE MANUFACTURED BY GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE LTD. AND ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME LAYOUT AS THE CAPITOL COVERS, BUT WITH THE PARLOPHONE AND EMI INFORMATION ADDED TO THE FRONT AND BACK, AND WITH THE STANDARD LAMINATED FRONT COVERS AND FLAT SURFACE BACK COVERS. OFFERED HERE IS THE SECOND ISSUED EXPORT CAPITOL ALBUM, "THE BEATLES' SECOND ALBUM". THE COVER IS IN STUNNING NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION WITH NO SPLITS, NO RINGWEAR, AND THE ENTIRE COVER HAS RETAINED A BRIGHT WHITE TONE THROUGHOUT. THE RECORD IS AMAZING AS WELL WITH A GORGEOUS PAIR OF NEAR MINT LABELS, with just a LIGHT single spindle mark around the side 1 cenTER hole only. the VINYL IS A SHIMMERING, SPARKLING NEAR MINT. IT HAS THE BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABELS WITH THE GRAMOPHONE PERIMETER PRINT AND WITHOUT THE "SOLD IN U.K." LINE. THIS PARLOPHONE LABEL IS THE RARER VARIATION THAT HAS THE THE MISSPELLED "McCARTHY" COMPOSER CREDIT ON "THANK YOU GIRL" ON THE SIDE 1 LABEL, AS NOTED BY BRUCE SPIZER IN HIS PARLOPHONE RECORDS BOOK AS (PAREX 103.SRA(i). SIDE ONE MATRIX: "YEEX 110-A19". SIDE 2 MATRIX: "YEEX 111-A9". SIDE ONE STAMPERS: "1-A". SIDE 2 STAMPERS: "1-A". THERE IS NO STAMPED RAISED tax code AT THE CENTER.
