FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES PROUDLY OFFERS A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE A COMPLETE RUN OF THE ORIGINAL FIRST TWELVE (OF 13) LEGENDARY PARLOPHONE UK FIRST PRESSINGS OF THE BEATLES' FOUR TRACK  EXTENDED PLAY (EP) 45RPM PICTURE COVERS AND RECORDS. THE ONLY TITLE WHICH IS EXCLUDED FROM THIS COLLECTION IS THE LAST AND FINAL EXTENDED PLAY "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR", RELEASED ON DECEMBER 8, 1967, AT A TIME WHEN THE EP FORMAT HAD DIMINISHED TO THE POINT WHERE RECORD RETAILER  HAD DISCONTINUED PUBLISHING A SEPARATE EP CHART THE WEEK BEFORE.

THIS PHENOMENAL COLLECTION COMPRISES OF THE FIRST TWELVE ORIGINAL BRITISH EPS ON THE CLASSIC PARLOPHONE YELLOW AND BLACK LABELS, EACH DISC HOUSED IN THEIR PARLOPHONE ACCOMPANYING PICTURE COVERS: TWIST AND SHOUT (RELEASED 7/12/63), THE BEATLES' HITS (RELEASED 9/6/63), THE BEATLES (NO. 1) (RELEASED 11/1/63), ALL MY LOVING (RELEASED 2/7/64), LONG TALL SALLY (6/19/64), FILM EXTRACTS FROM "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" (RELEASED 11/6/64), ALBUM EXTRACTS FROM "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" (12/64), BEATLES FOR SALE (RELEASED 4/6/65), BEATLES FOR SALE (NO. 2) (RELEASED 6/4/65), MILLION SELLERS (RELEASED 12/6/65), YESTERDAY (RELEASED 3/4/66), NOWHERE MAN (RELEASED 7/7/66). each and every of the twelve discs are accompanied by their own original parlophone polythene inner bag. these bags are very seldom found in these sets.

This earliest UK 1st pressing of their debut 4-track EP dates from initial July 1963 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label:. Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK...' text but have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'PKT' purchase tax code is present in the cenTER of the side 2 label. MatriX STAMPINGS: 7TCE 762-1N & 7TCE 763-1N. Only the very first copies off the press had -1N/-1N matriX NUMBERS, FOR 99% of all other copies produced were -2N/-1N.  Stamper codes: 2/RH & 2/OA. HouseD in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod' printed picture cover, complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels MINT -. A superb set with just two or three faint spindle trails around each centER hole. Disc: NEAR MINT. Both playing surfaces are extremely clean and retain their 'as new' high-gloss finish. Close examination beneath halogen light reveals little more than some harmless wispy paper type hairlines. This is a terrific sounding copy, full of the power and clarity present only on these early pressings. All tracks play superbly with no playwear, clicks, pops or distortion. Aside from some light vinyl background on the run-ins, there really is little to fault on this great disc. Cover: NEAR MINT MINUS. Fully intact with a clean, unscratched high-gloss front panel and light corner/opening edge wear only. There is slight discoloration to the rear, but no writing or missing paper. The only significant issue on this cover is a 1cm split to the laminate on the upper seam.

RELEASED SEPTEMBER 6, 1963

This earliest UK 1st pressing of their SECOND 4-track EP to be released dates from initial September 1963 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels omit the 'Recording First Published...' text, with 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in both run-outs only. MatriX STAMPING: 7TCE 760-2N & 7TCE 761-1N. Stamper codes: 1/L & 1,2/GL.
HouseD in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod' printed picture cover, complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels MINT -. A superb set with no more than one or two faint spindle trails around each centER hole. Disc: NEAR MINT. Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which upon examination beneath halogen light reveal nothing more than some harmless wispy paper type hairlines. All tracks play cleanly AND clearly with no audible interference or significant distractions. Cover: NEAR MINT. Fully intact with a clean, unscratched high-gloss front panel showing just a very faint disc impression form storage. There is a trace oF wear to the corner tips and opening edges but no tears or feathering. There is slight discoloration to exposed edges of the flipbacks and a 5mm scuff to the spine but no seams stresses or splits.

  

        

        



THE BEATLES (NO. 1)

RELEASED NOVEMBER 1, 1963

This UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from initial November 1963 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels omit the 'Recording First Published...' text, with 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. An 'MKT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 1 label. MatrIX STAMPINGS: 7TCE 764-1N & 7TCE 765-1N. Stamper codes: 1/L & 1/T. HouseD in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod' printed picture cover, depicting an alternate shot from the "Please, Please Me" cover shoot, comes complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels NEAR MINT. A bright AND clean set bearing a handful of light spindle trails around each centER hole. Disc: NEAR MINT. Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces on which the only blemish is a single hairline on track 1 on side 2. All tracks play cleanly AND clearly with just a touch of low-level vinyl background on the run-ins and between tracks.
Cover: MINT -. A fine clean AND strong example which retains an unfaded, unscratched high-gloss front panel free from any creasing or wrinkles. There is a trace or wear to the corner tips but the opening edges are clean AND unworn. The rear IS A BRIGHT white AND unblemished and all seams are unsplit.

This immaculate UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from initial February 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 2 label. MatriX STAMPING: 7TCE 790-1N & 7TCE 791-1N. Stamper codes: 3/LR & 7/LH. HouseD in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod' printed picture cover, without the Robert Freeman photo credit. Complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels: MINT
Just one tiny trail around each completely unworn centre hole. Disc: MINT, Factory-fresh playing surfaces and flawless audio to match. Cover: MINT -. A spectacular example with an unworn high-gloss front panel with just a single small bend to the upper seam to show for its 54 years. This PHENOMENAL UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from THE initial June 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 1 label. MatriX STAMPING: 7TCE 822-1N & 7TCE 823-1N. Stamper codes: 2/LR & 5/OD. HouseD in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod' (uncredited) printed picture cover, complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels NEAR MINT. A bright AND clean set with a handful of very faint spindle trails around each completely unworn centER hole. Disc: NEAR MINT. Super-clean AND glossy playing surfaces bearing just some harmless wispy hairlines beneath halogen light. Unworn audio with a power and clarity missing from every other pressing of this outstanding EP.
Cover: NEAR MINT. A clean AND strong example with an unworn glossy front laminate. The rear panel is clean with just a trace of storage but no writing or missing paper. There is some tiny pieces of laminate missing from the spine but it and neither seam are stressed or split.

This pristine UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from initial November 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 1 label. MatriX STAMPING: 7TCE 832-1N & 7TCE 833-2N. Stamper codes: 3/AD & 2/GG. HouseD in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback 'E.J. Day' printed picture cover and comes complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels: MINT -. Just one tiny trail around the side 1 centER hole made by stacking in the factory. Disc: MINT. As new' playing surfaces with flawless audio to match. Cover: NEAR MINT. A superb example with an immaculate high-gloss front panel with no 'thumbnails' or creasing to any part. The rear panel has slight age-toning and a couple of tiny marks towards the lower edge of the opening edge, but no writing or any other issues.

This MINT UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from initial december 1964 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the center of the side 2 label. Matrix stamping: 7TCE 850-1N & 7TCE 851-1N. Stamper codes: 1/R & 1/R. Housed in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse'  printed picture cover and comes complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels MINT. Just one tiny trail around the side 1 center hole made by stacking in the factory. Disc: MINT. Appears 'as new' with flawless & wonderful audio. This UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from initial April 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the center of the side 2 label.
Matrix stamping: 7TCE 860-1N & 7TCE 861-1N. Stamper codes: 2/O & 2/M. Housed in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse'  printed picture cover and comes complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels: near mint. A bright &and clean set showing just a small number of light, well-aimed spindle trails around each centre hole. Disc: near mint. Both playing surface are glossy and clean with just light stylus/paper hairlines visible beneath halogen light. there is no groove/playwear and there are no heavy clicks, pops or other issues. Cover: MINT -. This immaculate example retains an unworn high-gloss front panel and a pristine white rear. It's only trace of wear is to the tip of the lower right corner.

This rare UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from initial June 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label. Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the center of the side 2 label. Matrix stamping: 7TCE 875-1 & 7TCE 876-1. Stamper codes: 4/L & 3/GG. Housed in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback 'Garrod' (uncredited) printed picture cover, complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels: near mint. A bright and clean pair showing just a small collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole. Disc: near mint minus. Clean, glossy with some light wispy hairlines beneath halogen light but no scratches or significant marks. Cover: near mint minus. A most respectable example of this beautiful cover which retains a clean, high-gloss front panel laminate with just a few tiny edge wrinkles. The rear panel is clean overall with a small mark in the upper right corner but no writing or missing paper. All seams are fully intact.

Both labels carry the VERY FIRST INITIAL title "Beatles' Golden Discs'" which was the title of a cancelled EP (GEP 8899) WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY scheduled FOR A Spring 1964 RELEASE. Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 2 label. MatriX STAMPING: 7TCE 888-1 & 7TCE 889-1. Stamper codes: 1/A & 1/A. HouseD in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' printed picture cover, complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels MINT. Just one tiny trail around the side 2 centER hole made by stacking in the factory. Disc MINT. Appears 'as new' with flawless & wonderful audio. Cover: MINT -. Strong, clean AND unworn , this COVER APPEARS THAT it left the shops yesterday, let alone 53 years ago. Aside from a faint finger mark on the rear panel and a tiny bruise to the rear lower right corner, this EXAMPLE is 'as new'.

Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 1 label. MatriX STAMPING: 7TCE 894-1 & 7TCE 895-1. Stamper codes: 1/A & 1/H. HouseD in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback 'Garrod' (uncredited) printed picture cover, complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels MINT. Just one tiny trail around the side 2 centER hole made by stacking in the factory. Disc MINT. Both playing surfaces are 'as new'. The audio is flawless AND wonderful throughout. Cover MINT. Ltd...' worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 1 label. MatriX STAMPING: 7TCE 904-1 & 7TCE 905-1. Stamper codes: 1/L & 1/GG. HouseD in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback 'Garrod' (uncredited) printed picture cover, complete with original polythene inner. CONDITION: Labels NEAR MINT. Both are clean AND intact bearing nothing more than a small collection of light spindle trails around each unworn cenTER hole. Disc NEAR MINT. Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces showing only a few harmless wispy paper-tape hairlines beneath halogen light. Cover MINT. The best example ONE could ever hope to find of this fantastic COVER. the glossy front panel is perfectly clean AND flat with no wrinkles or creases to any area. All corners are sharp and totally unworn. The rear panel is clean, white AND unblemished with all flipbacks fully intact and in-place.
