THE LP MARKED THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME ALL OF THE SONGS ON A BEATLES ALBUM WERE WRITTEN BY JOHN LENNON AND PAUL McCARTNEY. MANY OF THE SONGS WERE WRITTEN DURING THE GROUP'S THREE-WEEK STAY IN PARIS FOR A SERIES OF CONCERTS AT THE OLYMPIA THEATRE, AS WELL AS DURING THE GROUP'S FIRST U.S. VISIT IN FEBRUARY 1964. THE ALBUM TOOK 65 HOURS TO COMPLETE, INCLUDING MIXING TIME, WITH SESSIONS HELD ON 17 TOTAL DAYS. BRITISH STEREO PRESSINGS ARE MUCH RARER THAN MONO, FOR RECORD COMPANIES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM PRESSED RECORDS ON THEIR DEMAND. THE MARKET FOR STEREO POP RECORDS WERE COMPARATIVELY MINIMAL AS TO MONO AND THESE EARLY STEREO PRESSINGS ARE SOME OF THE RAREST BEATLES RECORDS YOU CAN FIND. STUPENDOUS, WITH THIS PARTICULAR COVER
BEING THE INITIAL FIRST RUN, HAVING THE MEDIUM SIZE "STEREO" DESIGNATION IN
THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER. This WONDERFUL FIRST pressing dates from July 1964 release
on the yellow AND black Parlophone label. Both labels have the earliest 'chubby'
style WIDE font with the "Sold in UK..." text AND "The Parlophone
Co." worded rims. A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centER of the side 1 label.
THE Matrix numbers ARE: "YEX 126-1" AND "YEX 127-1". THE Stamper codes
ARE: "2 / AG"
AND "1 / GR". THE Labels ARE A NEAR MINT superb set with no more than
two or three VERY faint spindle trails around each centER hole. THE VINYL IS A
GLISTENING MINT
MINUS "AS NEW" DISPLAYING Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces bearing nothing
more than some harmless wispy marks from the inner-sleeve together with a
sparkling rainbow shine directly beneath halogen light. THE SET IS Complete with its ACCOMPANYING original "Use Emitex..." rice-paper lined inner DUST sleeve. THIS PACKAGE ALSO INCLUDES A 10½" X 8"
