DESCRIPTION "REVOLVER" LP ALBUM COVER CAPITOL (C1-90452), 1988 REISSUE AUTOGRAPHED CIRCA 1992 BY GEORGE HARRISON. The BEATLES SEVENTH ALBUM FOR EMI'S PARLOPHONE LABEL IS CONSIDERED BY MANY FANS AND CRITICS TO BE THE GROUP'S FINEST. RELEASED IN ENGLAND ON AUGUST 5, 1966, A WEEK BEFORE THE START OF THE GROUP'S THIRD AND FINAL TOUR OF NORTH AMERICA, REVOLVER FULLY LIVED UP TO THE HIGH EXPECTATIONS GENERATED BY THE PRIOR BEATLES SINGLE, PAPERBACK WRITER, AND THE GROUP'S PRECEDING LP, RUBBER SOUL. WHILE RUBBER SOUL IS REMEMBERED AS A COHESIVE COLLECTION OF GREAT SONGS, REVOLVER'S MOST STRIKING FEATURE IS ITS SOUND. IT MARKED THE FIRST TIME THAT A GEORGE HARRISON COMPOSITION WAS CHOSEN AS THE OPENING TRACK ON A BEATLES ALBUM, AND THIS ONE BEING "TAXMAN". IT ALSO MARKED THE FIRST TIME THAT GEORGE CONTRIBUTED THREE SONGS FOR AN ALBUM, THE OTHER TWO BEING "LOVE YOU TO" AND "I WANT TO TELL YOU". IN AMERICA, THE ALBUM WAS RELEASED BY CAPITOL RECORDS ON AUGUST 8, 1966. THE CAPITOL VERSION OF "REVOLVER" IS NEARLY IDENTICAL TO THE BRITISH LP, BUT HAS 11 SONGS RATHER THAN 14. THE THREE MISSING TRACKS, "I'M ONLY SLEEPING", "AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING", AND "DOCTOR ROBERT" HAD ALREADY BEEN ISSUED BY CAPITOL ON ITS "YESTERDAY AND TODAY" ALBUM NEARLY TWO MONTHS EARLIER. FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES IS EXTREMELY PROUD TO OFFER ONE OF THE ULTRA RARE EXAMPLES OF THE BEATLES CLASSIC "REVOLVER" LP ALBUM COVER SIGNED SOLELY BY THE LATE GREAT BEATLE, GEORGE HARRISON. AUTOGRAPHED BEAUTIFULLY IN BLUE FELT MARKER, THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY RARE GEORGE HARRISON SIGNED U.S. "REVOLVER" FULL SIZE ALBUM COVER, EXECUTED PERFECTLY IN THE AREA OF HIS IMAGE ON THE FRONT COVER. SIGNED IN 1992 IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, THE SIGNATURE HAS REMAINED BRILLIANT, BOLD AND CRISP OVER THE YEARS. THE ALBUM COVER IS THE CAPITOL RECORDS' 1988 REISSUE (C1-90452). THE BACK COVER HAS THE 11 SONG TRACK LISTING AS ISSUED IN THE U.S. IN 1966, BUT IS PACKAGED WITH THE PURPLE DOME LABEL THAT ALSO HAS THE PARLOPHONE LOGO AND APPLE LOGOS (C1-7-46441-1). THE ALBUM HAS THE ORIGINAL 1966 BRITISH CONFIGURATION WITH ALL 14 TRACKS. THE COVER AND RECORD ARE BOTH NEAR MINT "AS NEW". ACCORDING TO BEATLES AUTOGRAPH EXPERT FRANK CAIAZZO, SOLO SIGNED EXAMPLES OF THIS TITLE BY GEORGE HARRISON RATES RIGHT UP THERE AS AMONG THE MOST DESIRABLE AND RAREST OF ALL GEORGE HARRISON SIGNED ITEMS TO ACQUIRE. ACCOMPANIED BY LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM FRANK CAIAZZO. MR. CAIAZZO is considered to be the world's leading authority on Beatles signed and handwritten material. HIS articles have appeared IN SEVERAL books and magazines including "Autograph Collector" and "Beatlology". HE has served as consultant to several major auction houses including Sotheby's New York and London, Christie's, Bonhams, AND TO numerous smaller auction companies and autograph dealers worldwide. MR. CAIAZZO'S LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY HAS BEEN THE GOLD STANDARD IN THE BEATLES AUTOGRAPH COLLECTING COMMUNITY FOR 30 PLUS YEARS. ALSO INCLUDES LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM PERRY COX, BEATLES U.S. RECORDS EXPERT AND AUTHOR OF "THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE" SERIES OF BOOKS.
