RUBBER SOUL CAPITOL ST-2442 STEREO RELEASED: 12/6/65 RARER COVER VARIATION WITH

DESCRIPTION (ACTUAL IMAGES) THE COVER SLICK ON THIS STILL SEALED EXAMPLE IS THE RARER VARIATION WITH THE PRINT "NEW IMPROVED FULL DIMENSIONAL STEREO" BANNER PRINTED IN THE WHITE BAND BORDER OF THE TOP LP EDGE. IT ALSO HAS THE LARGE SPLIT BLACK DOT, RECORD NUMBER, AND THE PRINT "FILE UNDER:THE BEATLES". THIS CHANGE OCCURRED WHEN CAPITOL REALIZED THAT THE STEREO LOGO ON THE DARK GREEN BACKGROUND OF THE FRONT SLICK WAS DIFFICULT TO READ, THEY THEN PREPARED REVISED BACK LINERS THAT HAVE THE STEREO LOGO BANNER ON THE PORTION THAT WRAPS AROUND TO THE TOP OF THE FRONT COVER. THEREFORE, THE FRONT COVER SLICKS THAT HAD THE STEREO LOGO BANNER PRINTED ON THEM, WERE TRIMMED AT THE SAME PLACE AS MONO SLICKS TO REMOVE THE STEREO DESIGNATION. THERE IS NO FACTORY DESIGNATION NUMBER ON BACK COVER.
3 FACTORY SHRINK "BREATH HOLES" ARE EVIDENT (2 ON FRONT COVER, 1 ON BACK COVER).
OLIVE GREEN SLEEVE (SUMMER TO LATE 1965 CAPITOL SLEEVE) BARELY VISIBLE THROUGH MOUTH OPENING.
THE
"STEREO NEEDLE DAMAGE" PRINT INFO IS ON TOP AREA OF THE BACK COVER, SIGNIFYING THIS IS
A TRUE FIRST ISSUE.
