||
DESCRIPTION BLUE INNER SLEEVE (EARLY 1964 CAPITOL SLEEVE) VISIBLE THROUGH MOUTH OPENING, WHICH INDICATES FIRST PRESSING. 4 FACTORY SHRINK "BREATH HOLES" EVIDENT (2 ON BACK FRONT, 2 ON BACK). NO FACTORY DESIGNATION NUMBER ON THE BACK COVER. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THIS IS AN EAST COAST PRESSING, MANUFACTURED AT THE SCRANTON, PA. CAPITOL RECORDS PLANT. THE ORIGINAL 1½" X 2¼" WHITE 'ALLIED RADIO CORP' STORE PRICE STICKER REMAINS ADHERED TO THE FRONT COVER SHRINK ON THE LEFT UPPER AREA NEAR THE EDGE. ALLIED RETAIL STORES WERE LOCATED IN THE CHICAGO, ILLINOIS AREA IN THE 1960'S. THIS IS A VIRTUALLY PERFECT AND IS WITHOUT QUESTION, THE VERY BEST STILL
SEALED EXAMPLE OF THIS TITLE WE HAVE EVER SEEN OR HAVE OFFERED AT ANYTIME. "THE
BEATLES' SECOND ALBUM", IS ONE OF THE RAREST TITLES TO FIND STILL SEALED. IT IS
WORLD-CLASS EXAMPLE, AND AGAIN, UNDOUBTEDLY, ONE OF THE BEST THAT HAS EVER
SURFACED OR IS KNOWN TO EXIST. THIS MONO PRESSING IS PRISTINE, AND RETAINS A FRESH "NEWNESS"
AS IT WAS ISSUED SO MANY YEARS AGO. THE COLORS ARE BRIGHT AND VIBRANT. FRONT COVER GRAPHICS AND COLORS ARE ASTONISHING. A BRILLIANT WHITE SHEEN REMAINS.
ALL FOUR CORNERS ARE SHARP.
EXTREMELY TIGHT SEAL CORNER TO CORNER.
NO YELLOWING AT ALL. TWO VERY MINOR ISSUES ARE AN EXTREMELY FAINT BIT OF
EXPOSURE AGING AT THE UPPER LEFT BACK CORNER RESULTING FROM A 1/16” SIZE
SHRINKWRAP BREECH AT THE CORNER, AND LASTLY, THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER HAS A
¼” WRAP SEPARATION. THE COVER IS NOT
AFFECTED IN THAT AREA. BOTH ISSUES ARE HARDLY DETECTABLE. ACCOMPANIED BY LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM PERRY COX, BEATLES U.S. RECORDS EXPERT, AUTHOR OF "THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE" SERIES OF BOOKS.
