REVOLVER CAPITOL T-2576 MONO RELEASED: 8/8/66 WITH RARE OVAL YELLOW STICKER WITH BLACK PRINT: |
||
DESCRIPTION EXTREMELY TIGHT SEAL CORNER TO CORNER. 2 FACTORY SHRINK "BREATH HOLES" EVIDENT ON FRONT COVER. FRONT COVER IMAGE IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. BOLD AND CRISP WITH NO RINGWEAR. THERE IS NO YELLOWING ANYWHERE. DUE TO SUCH A TIGHT SEAL, NEAR THE SECOND FACTORY BREATH HOLE AT ON THE FRONT TOP CENTER, THERE IS A SMALL 2¾" SHRINK SLICE IN THAT AREA. THIS SHRINK SLICE IS BARELY PERCEPTIBLE, AND THE COVER IS NOT AFFECTED IN THE LEAST. THIS IS A REMARKABLE EXAMPLE WITH FOUR SHARP CORNERS. BACK COVER REMAINS CLEAN AND BLACK WITH NO RING-WEAR OR RECORD IMPRESSION AT ALL. THE SPINE IS MERE PERFECTION DISPLAYING THE PRINT SQUARE AND FIRM THROUGHOUT THE LENGTH OF THE SPINE. THE CAPITOL RECORDS ORANGE INNER SLEEVE (EARLY 1966 "CAPITOL '66 SOUNDS GREAT!" SLEEVE) IS CLEARLY VISIBLE THROUGH THE BOTTOM SECTION OF THE SEALED MOUTH OPENING. THE MOST VITAL FACTOR AND WHICH RAISES THE BAR TREMENDOUSLY ON THIS SEALED EXAMPLE, IS THE RARE OVAL YELLOW STICKER - THAT WAS ADHERED TO THE SHRINKWRAP ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF COPIES OF THE ALBUM. THE STICKER (CAP 2576.S1, SPIZER) STATES IN BLACK PRINT "INCLUDES THE BEATLES' FABULOUS 'YELLOW SUBMARINE' & 'ELEANOR RIGBY'! ST-2576". THE CONDITION OF THIS STICKER IS A BRILLIANT NEAR MINT WITH GREAT BOLD COLORS AND NO FLAWS. THESE STICKERS WERE ALL PRINTED WITH THE STEREO DESIGNATION "ST-2576", YET, THIS ONE WAS APPLIED TO A MONAURAL PRESSING. MOST PURCHASERS OF REVOLVER STICKERED ALBUMS THREW AWAY THE SHRINKWRAP WITH THE STICKER. FINDING AN ORIGINAL SEALED EXAMPLE OF THIS GREAT WORK WITH THE STICKER IS ALSO A GROUNDBREAKING ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR THE SERIOUS BEATLES COLLECTOR. (PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY HINT OF "BROWNING" OR "MELLOWING" THAT APPEAR IN ANY WHITE EDGE AREAS OF THIS ITEM IS CAUSED BY THE CAMERA ANGLE AND ITS FLASH. ALL WHITE AREAS ARE CLEAN). THIS MAJESTIC SEALED EXAMPLE OF A MONO "REVOLVER" IS ACCOMPANIED BY A LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM PERRY COX, BEATLES U.S. RECORDS EXPERT, AUTHOR OF "THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE" SERIES OF BOOKS.
