DESCRIPTION (ACTUAL IMAGES) FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES IS EXTREMELY PROUD TO OFFER THIS VERY RARE FACTORY SEALED ORIGINAL STEREO FIRST PRESSING OF '"A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" ALBUM IN STUNNING CONDITION. IT IS INDEED A TRULY INCREDIBLE SEALED EXAMPLE OF THE BEATLES' CLASSIC NUMBER ONE SOUNDTRACK ALBUM. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL JUNE 1964 FIRST PRESSING SEALED STEREO ISSUE OF THIS LP, INDICATED BY THE "BRIGHT RED" COVER AND THE 4 LINE OF PUBLISHING CREDITS PRINTED ON THE BACK COVER. THIS IS ONLY OUR SECOND EVER SEALED 1964 STEREO COPY OF THIS TITLE WE HAVE ACQUIRED, THE LAST ONE BEING FIFTEEN YEARS AGO. A STEREO FIRST PRESSING HAS BECOME INCREDIBLY RARE TO FIND SEALED AND ONE OF THE MOST DEMANDED AMONG COLLECTORS. THE "BRIGHT RED" COVER IS THE FIRST INDICATOR OF A 1964 FIRST ISSUE, AND THE SECOND INDICATOR IS THE CORRECTED VARIATION WITH THE 4 LINE PUBLISHING CREDITS PRINTED ON THE BACK COVER (UA3366.SC2, SPIZER). THE REVISED PRINT STATES "ALL SONGS PUBLISHED BY MACLEN MUSIC, INC. AND UNART MUSIC CORP. (BMI) EXCEPT "THIS BOY" AND "I CRY INSTEAD" WHICH ARE PUBLISHED BY MACLEN MUSIC, INC. (BMI)". THIS CHANGE WAS MADE ON JUNE 29, 1964 (THREE DAYS FOLLOWING THE INITIAL RELEASE DATE) WHEN UNITED ARTISTS LEARNED IT DID NOT HAVE A PUBLISHING INTEREST IN "I CRY INSTEAD" BECAUSE THE SONG WAS DROPPED FROM THE FILM. THE 3 LINE PUBLISHING CREDITS ON THE BACK COVER STATES "ALL SONGS PUBLISHED BY MACLEN MUSIC INC. AND UNART MUSIC CORP. (BMI) EXCEPT "THIS BOY" WHICH IS PUBLISHED BY MACLEN MUSIC INC. (BMI)". TAKE NOTE THAT LATER REISSUES IN THE LATE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES ISSUED THE ALBUM ONLY IN STEREO, AND SOME UTILIZE THE "BRIGHT RED" COVER AND USE THE BACK SLICK WITH THE 3 LINE OF PUBLISHING CREDITS, MAKING IT A DEFINITE REISSUE COPY. THERE ARE 2 FACTORY SHRINK "BREATH HOLES" EVIDENT ON THE FRONT. THIS SEALED EXAMPLE IS EXQUISITE, WITH AN EXTREMELY TIGHT SEAL CORNER TO CORNER WITH COMPLETE WRAP ALL AROUND WITH NO TEARS OR RIPS, AND ALL FOUR CORNERS ARE SHARP. THE GRAPHICS AND BRIGHT RED BACKGROUND ARE BOLD, DEEP AND CRISP. THE WHITES ARE BRIGHT AND CLEAN. THE SPINE IS PERFECTLY SQUARE AND THE DARK PRINT IS ALL THERE AND LEGIBLY CLEAR. THE COVER ALSO RETAINS THE BRIGHT ORANGE 1½" ROUND ORIGINAL DEPARTMENT STORE PRICE STICKER WITH $4.79 BEING CROSSED OUT AMD THE REDUCED PRICE STATES $3.98".
