  DESCRIPTION
(ACTUAL IMAGES)

VEE-JAY PREPARED NEW COVERS FOR THE REVAMPED "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" VERSION TWO ALBUM (RELEASED ONE MONTH AFTER VERSION ONE ON FEBRUARY 10, 1964), WHICH IS SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS THE "PLEASE, PLEASE ME" OR THE "ASK ME WHY"  VERSION. THE FRONT COVER OF THE ALBUM IS THE SAME AS THE VERSION ONE COVER BUT WITHOUT "PRINTED IN U.S.A." IN THE LOWER LEFT OF THE FRONT COVER. THE BACK COVER IS IDENTICAL TO THE TITLES ON BACK VARIATION OF VERSION ONE, EXCEPT FOR THE SUBSTITUTION OF THE TITLES OF THE TWO SONGS THAT REPLACED "LOVE ME DO" AND "P.S. I LOVE YOU".

WE PROUDLY OFFER HERE A MOST MAJESTIC STILL SEALED 'FACTORY FRESH' FIRST VARIATION VERSION TWO STEREO LP ALBUM, WHICH HAS A WHITE BANNER AT THE THE TOP OF THE FRONT COVER WITH "STEREOPHONIC" CENTERED IN GREY AND THE NUMBER "SR1062" IN BLACK IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER. THIS COVER VARIATION NORMALLY IS FOUND WITH "PLEASE, PLEASE ME" (WITH COMMA) ON THE BACK COVER. THIS FACTOR IS INDEED FOUND ON THIS EXAMPLE.

THE CONDITION OF THIS STUNNING AND BRIGHT SEALED LP ALBUM IS SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT, A MOST TRULY IMMACULATE EXAMPLE. NO RINGWEAR, NO RECORD IMPRESSION, AND ALL FOUR CORNERS ARE SHARP. The SEALED shrink wrap is fully intact WITHOUT any splits, tears or missing pieces, with SIMPLY some very light, MINIMAL age shelf wear. FOUR FACTORY "breathe holes" are EVIDENT (TWO ON THE FRONT AND TWO ON THE BACK). THE FRONT COVER IMAGE IS BOLD, RICH AND VIBRANT WITH DEEP COLORS. EVERY SEAM IS FIRM AND THE SPINE SOLID WITH THE PRINT VISIBLE AND LEGIBLE THROUGHOUT. THE BACK COVER IS EXTREMELY CLEAN REMAINS A BRIGHT WHITE TONE. A SMALL "GOODY'S" RECORD STORE $2.99 PRICE STICKER REMAINS ADHERED TO THE FRONT COVER SHRINK IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER.

A MOST FASCINATING ASPECT OF THIS SEALED EXAMPLE IS THAT THE RED BORDER "THE GREATEST GOSPEL SOUND ON RECORD IS ON VJ" OCTOBER 1964 INNER DUST SLEEVE IS CLEARLY VISIBLE THROUGH THE SEALED MOUTH OPENING. THESE NEW VEE-JAY LATE 1964 SLEEVES WERE PRINTED BY IVY HILL LITHOGRAPH CORP. IN LOS ANGELES AND WERE RECEIVED BY PRESSING PLANTS MONARCH, SOUTHERN PLASTICS, ARC AND ARP FROM OCTOBER 15-22, 1964.  IT IS KNOWN THAT SOME COPIES OF THE OCTOBER 1, 1964 RELEASE OF "THE BEATLES VS. THE FOUR SEASONS" WERE PACKAGED WITH THE NEW RED INNER SLEEVE. FURTHERMORE, IT IS KNOWN THAT MONARCH AND ARP HAVE DISTRIBUTED ALBUMS USING LEFTOVER COVERS AND DISCS OF OTHER BEATLES TITLES USING THE NEW OCTOBER 1964 RED DUST SLEEVE - AND THIS STEREO VERSION TWO COPY OF "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" WAS INDEED PACKAGED AND SENT OUT TO STORES IN LATE OCTOBER 1964.

UNDOUBTEDLY, THIS STILL SEALED 'FACTORY FRESH' EXAMPLE IS WORLD-CLASS AND IS THE VERY FIRST SEALED EXAMPLE WE HAVE EVER ACQUIRED FOR THIS STEREO VERSION TWO ISSUE VARIATION. THIS IS A WINNER AND WOULD BE A MOST RESPECTABLE ADDITION TO THE SERIOUS BEATLES RECORD COLLECTION.
