DESCRIPTION FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES IS PROUD TO OFFER THE "HOLY GRAIL" OF BEATLE RECORDS . . . . THE MONO "AD BACK". REMAINING ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL AMERICAN BEATLE LP RECORD ALBUMS, THIS IS THE FIRST VERSION OF THE FIRST BEATLES ALBUM IN AMERICA. THERE ARE THREE DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT
VARIATIONS TO THE MONO AND STEREO BACK COVERS TO VERSION ONE OF "INTRODUCING THE
BEATLES". NO MORE THAN 5,000 OF THESE SLICKS WERE PRINTED, AND OF THOSE ONLY 3,800 BEING MONO COPIES - MAKES ANY "AD BACK" LP ALBUM VERY LIMITED AND EXTREMELY RARE. BY THE TIME VEE-JAY RESUMED TAKING ORDERS FOR INTRODUCING THE BEATLES IN THE SECOND WEEK OF FEBRUARY, THE COMPANY HAD DECIDED TO REISSUE THE ALBUM WITH "PLEASE PLEASE ME" AND "ASK ME WHY" REPLACING "LOVE ME DO " AND "P.S. I LOVE YOU". THIS HELPED CREATE THE MORE COMMON VERSION TWO, WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE "TITLES ON BACK", ISSUED ONCE THE LEGALITIES HAD CLEARED IN EARLY FEBRUARY 1964. THIS PARTICULAR EXAMPLE OF AN 'AD BACK" MONO PRESSING IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM, EASILY THE VERY BEST WE HAVE EVER ACQUIRED INDEED - AND THE STUNNING COVER REMAINS IN ITS ORIGINAL 'SEARS ROEBUCK AND CO' IN-STORE BAGGY WRAP. THE COVER GRADES A MOST STUNNING MINT MINUS AND HAS REMAINED ENCASED INSIDE THE STORE BAGGY. THE BOLD COLORS AND CRISP GRAPHICS ARE VERY STRIKING. NO SPLITS, NO RING-WEAR TO THE FRONT OR BACK COVER AT ALL. WHEN ONE CAREFULLY PEERS UNDER THE BAGGY, EVERY DETAIL OF THIS PARTICULAR COVER IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. THERE IS ONE VERY SMALL HOLE IN THE BAGGY WRAP IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE FRONT, WITH NO AFFECT TO THE COVER IN ANY MANNER. THE BACK COVER JUST SHINES WITH VIBRANT COLORS AND THE BACKGROUND IS "SNOW-WHITE" CLEAN. THE SPINE IS SOLID, AND THE PRINT IS COMPLETELY LEGIBLE. THE ORIGINAL ACCOMPANYING VERSION ONE RECORD FEATURES THE LABEL VARIATION WITH THE COLORBAND AND OVAL LOGO (VJ1062(1).MR1B, SPIZER). IT HAS LEFT JUSTIFIED SONG TITLES AND SONGWRITERS' CREDITS WITH "INTRODUCING the BEATLES" IN SMALL PRINT. THE WORDS "LONG PLAYING" AND "MICROGROOVE" DO NOT APPEAR ON THE LABEL. THE TRAIL-OFF AREAS HAVE THE HAND ETCHED MATRIX NUMBER "63-3402" AND JOB NUMBER "∆5702" ON SIDE 1 AND MATRIX NUMBER "63-3403" AND JOB NUMBER "∆5702-X" ON SIDE 2. BOTH SIDES HAVE THE HAND ETCHED DATE "6-29-63" AND INITIALS "RA" AND "A" AS WELL AS THE MACHINE STAMPED AUDIO MATRIX AND "MR" LOGOS. THIS VINYL WAS MANUFACTURED BY MONARCH RECORDS. THE CONDITION OF THIS RECORD IS AN ASTONISHING MINT UNPLAYED JEWEL. THIS WORLD CLASS, HIGH-END EXAMPLE OF AN "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" MONO 'AD BACK' WOULD BE QUITE AN ADDITION TO ONE'S BEATLES RECORD COLLECTION.
