BACK IN MID 1974, A 25 YEAR-OLD BEATLES FAN IN GERMANY NAMED 'BERND' HAD THIS WILD IDEA TO TO WRITE JOHN LENNON IN NEW YORK. HIS REQUEST FOR JOHN'S AUTOGRAPH WENT BEYOND COMPREHENSION. BERND SHIPPED JOHN 15 ITEMS, INCLUDING JOHN'S PORTRAIT PHOTO FROM THE beatles'  "WHITE ALBUM".

HERE WE PROUDLY OFFER ONE OF THESE ITEMS - THE INSERT PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPH FROM "THE BEATLES" (WHITE ALBUM). john had autographed the original 7¾" X 11¼" color photo beautifully upon the lower portion of the photo in sharp black ballpoint pen. He dedicates it "to bernd with love john lennon", then adds the drawing of his facial caricature along with the date "75".

THE SECOND GEORGE MARTIN SINGLE (UA-750) IS ONE OF THE RARER BEATLES SLEEVES AVAILABLE, FOR IT'S LOW NUMBERS ARE DUE TO UNITED ARTIST'S VERY LIMITED PRESS RUN, AND VERY FEW OF THE 45'S WERE ISSUED IN THIS VERY ATTRACTIVE PICTURE SLEEVE.

DUE TO THE COLORS UTILIZED OF THE UA750 SLEEVE, THESE ARE NOTORIOUS FOR WEAR, AND USUALLY FOUND IN HORRENDOUS CONDITION. YET THIS ONE BEING OFFERED (NEAR MINT MINUS) IS THE VERY BEST EXAMPLE THAT WE HAVE EVER ACQUIRED AND OFFERED OF THE "AIRPORT SLEEVE" (AS IT IS KNOWN AMONG COLLECTORS).

THE STOCK COPY DISC IS AN ABSOLUTE AND VITAL COUP - AND UNTIL NOW HAD BEEN DEEMED UNCONFIRMED AS EVER BEING PRODUCED. THIS RARE COLORFUL THREE-PANEL BROCHURE DESCRIBED AS A RECORD FOLDER, MEASURES SLIGHTLY UNDER 7" X 7" WHEN FOLDED SHUT. THE INSIDE OF THE BROCHURE DEPICTS MINIATURE COVERS OF SELECTED ALBUMS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE RECORD CLUB INCLUDING "MEET THE BEATLES!" AND "THE BEATLES' SECOND ALBUM", WHICH IS ONE OF FOUR ENLARGED COVERS. THE RIGHT HALF OF THE INSIDE RIGHT PANEL SERVES AS A DETACHABLE CARD TO BE FILLED IN BY NEW MEMBERS AND MAILED TO THE CAPITOL RECORD CLUB IN SCRANTON, PENNSYLVANIA.

THE DOLLS HAVE NEVER BEEN REMOVED FROM THEIR BOXES AND EACH REMAINS SHINY AND DISPLAYS A VIBRANT GLOSSY SHEEN. EACH DOLL IS 5" TALL WITH ROOTED HAIR AND APPROPRIATE MUSICAL INSTRUMENT STRAPPED AROUND THE NECK. THE DOLLS ARE STILL ATTACHED TO THE CARDBOARD INNER BOX INSERTS THAT HOLD THEM IN PLACE WITH THE ORIGINAL RUBBER BAND.

EACH  BOX MEASURES 2" X 4" X 7" AND ARE INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO FIND - ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. ALL THE ORIGINAL CELLOPHANE WINDOWS ARE STILL INTACT AND TIGHT, EACH PRESERVED PERFECTLY. THE BOXES THEMSELVES ARE CRISP AND CLEAN, WITH THE USUAL MINOR 51-YEAR SHELF WEAR. THERE ARE NO RIPS, NO TEARS, NO SPLITS.

THIS IS TRULY A COMPLETE AND MAGNIFICENT SET OF THE REMCO “HAIR DOLLS” PRESENTED AND REMAINING IN THEIR ORIGINAL WINDOWED BOXES.

FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES MOST PROUDLY OFFERS THE VINTAGE AND ULTRA RARE UNITED ARTISTS BEATLES ' OPEN-END ' INTERVIEW ALBUM, COMPLETE WITH THE ACCOMPANYING AND ORIGINAL 12-PAGE SCRIPT (NOT A COPY). THIS EXAMPLE IS THE BEST THAT HAS SURFACED TO DATE, AND MOST OF THOSE THAT ARE OUT THERE HAVE PHOTOCOPIES OF THE SCRIPT, AND NOT the ORIGINAL ISSUED EXAMPLE.

THESE RECORDS ARE EXTREMELY RARE FOR TWO REASONS. FIRST, THEY WERE PRESSED IN VERY LIMITED NUMBERS AND DISTRIBUTED ONLY TO SELECT RADIO STATIONS AND MOVIE THEATRES. SECOND, BECAUSE THE RECORDS WERE SOLELY INTENDED TO PROMOTE THE MOTION PICTURE, MOST DISC JOCKEYS AND THEATRE MANAGERS DID NOT SAVE THESE UNIQUE RECORDS AFTER THE FILM HAD RUN ITS COURSE.
